Western Ghat and Coastal - Vibrant Karnataka

        Let's  just try to glance  Karnataka's vibrant beauty of Western ghat and Coastal region. So that we can plan for the escapades.  Suppose we are planning to the get away from Bengaluru  for few days, western ghat and coastal landscape would be the best get away locations to get lost with yourself.

       Let us assume namma Bengaluru as a starting / reference point. Start it from Bengaluru, so the western ghats opens up from you entering Shivamogga. Its known as Malenaadu Hebbagilu- the entrance of Western Ghats. You can start it from Shivamogga. The first would be, the world famous that nobody is unheard of is JOGFALLS. Its one of the largest waterfalls in the whole world, such a visual treat. It is approximately 100 KM far from Shivamogga. You will have to go on BH road. So starting from Shivamogga to Sagar, out skirt of the shivamogga city welcomes you with a lion Safari. It is situated very near by the road, so you can visit that Safari if you wish.

                 So later we can proceed towards Sagar to get lost in the beauty of JOGFALLS. So after reaching JOGFALLS, You can witness your majesty JOGFALLS.  If it is raining very heavily you cannot go downside of the water falls. The authority won't allow you to go downside. The fog will be covering the whole water falls during the heavy rain.  Check out his video below too take a walk in Jogfalls.

Once done with the MAJESTIC Jogfalls, we can proceed towards China Gate, its  very nearby Jogfalls on the way back to Sagar. Below video is ChinGate

    

                         We can proceed towards Sirsi road from China Gate. On the way to Sirsi, we gotta reach Maavinagundi Junction first, its almost 4-5 KMs far from Jogfalls.  From Maavinagundi junction take a right, (straight road will take us to Honnavar). So after taking a right, you can enjoy the curvy beauty of western ghat and green path along the way. Approximately 10-15 from that junction we will find a place called  Halageri (ಹಲಗೇರಿ). Take a right from there in 2-3 KMs distance we will reach Hoosur Dam, which resembles very much as Nayagara Falls of USA-CANADA during raining season. You can have fun with family, even kids and ladies can merge themselves and enjoy with little care. 

 

              

                      After this mini Nayagara we can go to one and only dedicated Bhuvaneshwari Temple for whole Karnataka, the mother (ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತೆ ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರಿ ).  Which falls very near to Siddapur taluk. After reaching Siddapur, we don't need to go inside the town. At beginning of Siddapur town we will get Siddapur-Kumta road. It will be on the immediate left side  at the very beginning of Siddapur. We need to proceed on that road for 7-8 KMs, there resides our Karnataka MAATHE, later we can proceed to Go-Swarga which is nearby the temple. Watch the below video.

ರೆಕ್ಕೆ ಹಕ್ಕಿ

ಆ ದಿನ ಒಂತರ ಹೊಸತು
ಉತ್ಸಾಹದ ಚಿಲುಮೆ ಚಿಮ್ಮಿತ್ತು
ಬಾನಿಗೆ ಏಣಿ ಹಾಕೋ ಛಲ
ಮೈದು೦ಬಿತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಭಲ

ಬೆಟ್ಟವ  ನೆಲಸಮ ಮಾಡೋ  ಬಯಕೆ
ಹಕ್ಕಿಯಂತೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಚ್ಚೋ ಹಾರೈಕೆ
ಯೋಚಿಸಿದೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಕಾರಣವೇನು
ಬೆಳ್ಳಂ  ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಕುಡಿದಿದ್ದೆ  ರೆಡ್ ಬುಲ್ಲನ್ನು

The friendship

                                                    
                                          Its a story of  a man and dog's friendship. There was a man lying dead, who was a kind of orphan, who had no one along side him. But there was a faithful cry for him. Some one was very much saddened by this demise. That was none other than the dog. They both became very thick friends over the time. Everybody were ignorant and rude towards that dog. But this man was very kind to this dog. He use to share all the food and comforts with the dog everyday. They were nonetheless a family, which the society ignored. So the dog was very much hurt by the death and it was crying heavily in its own style. 

                                             Every other were touched by the love of a dog for men. And they buried him in a coffin. Now onward every one very kind towards the dog. All of them fed it each day.  The dog used to go to the man's coffin everyday without fail. All the people admired their friendship even after the death.
As the days gone by the dog also met with the death. Due respect to their friendship they buried the dog beside the man's coffin and built a memorial for their friendship.

                  After some 20 years the urbanization was on the peak.  Everything was under demolish process to make the way for development. The development named giant swallowed all the stuffs. So it was turn for the memorial of the great friendship of man and dog. They came with all the machinery  to demolish the same. But After attempting it for several times they couldn't even damage it. They were surprised by this. Because they demolished very huge things earlier for development, but they never came across such strong thing. 
          
         So the labors approached their higher officials and conveyed the message to them. Then they took it over and send some sample to the lab to find the reason behind this. At the same time they enquired some people regarding the same. But none of them were able to resolve it. But all of them suggested to find one veteran man of the village. He was not available that day, and he was so much old that he couldn't speak properly. So they thought take a written statement from him the next day. 

               The next day they collected the written statement from him. At the same time the lab report also arrived. After matching both the reports. The officer lost his conscious and fell down. Because both the report from Lab and veteran man were same.

   The report read  "It is made up of Ambuja cement, it has life in it".
            

ಸೇರಲು ನಿನ್ನ

ಸೇರಲು ನಿನ್ನ   ಕಾಯುತಿದೆ  ಮನ
ಹಾಡುತಿದೆ   ಮನ  ನಿನ್ನದೇ   ಕವನ
ಬೇಯುತಿದೆ  ವಿರಹದಿ  ಈ ನನ್ನ ತನು
ಮರೆತಿಲ್ಲ   ನಾ  ನೀ  ಹೋದ  ದಿನವನ್ನು


ಹೋದೆ  ನೀನು   ಪರದೇಶಕೆ
ನನ್ನ ಬಿಟ್ಟು  ಓ     ಅಭಿಸಾರಿಕೆ
ಅದೇ ನಾನು  ಅಂದು  ಭಗ್ನ  ಹೃದಯಿ
ನೀನೊರಲ್ಲಿ  ಬರಣ  ಅಂದ್ರೆ  ಏನ್ಮಾಡ್ಲಿ
ಜೇಬಲಿಲ್ಲ  ಹತ್ತು  ರೂಪಾಯಿ

ಅವಳು ನಕ್ಕಳು

ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತಿದ್ದ  ಅವಳು
ನನ್ನ  ನೋಡಿ ಮುಗುಳ್ನ ಕ್ಕಳು
ಅದ ನೋಡಿ ಕುಣಿಯಿತು ನನ್ನ ಹೊಕ್ಕಳು
ಹತೋಟಿ ತಪ್ಪಿದ ಮನವಾಯಿತು  ತಿಕ್ಕಲು

ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲೇ  ಅವಳ ಗೆಳತಿಯ  ಬೈಕ್ ಲ್ಲಿ
ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು  ಅವಳ ಹೆಗಲಲ್ಲಿ
ಏನನ್ನೋ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಗುನುಗುತ್ತ
ಹೋದರತ್ತ ಇಬ್ಬರು ನಗುತ್ತ

ಸರಿ ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಪಾಡಿಗೆ
ಕಾಯುತ್ತ  ನಿಂತೆ ನನ್ನ  ಬಸ್ಸಿಗೆ
ಅಲ್ಲಿ  ಬಂದ  ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಸುಂದರಿ
ನಗುತ್ತ  ನಿಂತಳು  ನನ್ನ ನೋಡಿರಿ

ನಾನು ಖುಷಿಯಿ೦ದ
ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದ ಮನದಿಂದ
ಕೆಳಗೆ  ನೋಡಿ  ಆದೆ ಬೆಪ್ಪು
ತೆರೆದಿತ್ತಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ಯಾಂಟ್  ಜಿಪ್ಪು

ರಹಸ್ಯ

ಕಲೆತವು  ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರ  ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು
ಬಿಸಿಯಾದವು   ಉಸಿರುಗಳು
ಝಲ್ಲೆಂದಿತು  ಹೃದಯ
ಇದು  ಮನಸುಗಳ  ವಿಷಯ


ಹೋದೆ  ನಾನು  ಅವಳಿರುವೆಡೆ
ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇತ್ತು ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಡೆ
ಆಕೆಯದು ಮೃದುವಾದ  ಮನಸು
ಮಾಡಲ್ಲ  ಯಾರಿಗೂ  ಮುನಿಸು

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಳು
ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರ  ರಹಸ್ಯವ  ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಳು
ಕಾಪಿ ಹೊಡೆದು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಅವಳು
ನನ್ನ  ಹೆಸರು  ಬಾಯಿ  ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಳು 

ಮಳೆಯಲಿ ಜೊತೆಯಲಿ

ಈ ಜಿಟಿ ಜಿಟಿ ಮಳೆಯಲಿ
ಅವಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲಿ
ಛತ್ರಿಯ   ತಳದಲಿ
ಕೈ   ಹಿಡಿದು  ನಡೆಯಲು

ಕೈಗೆ  ಕೈ  ತಾಕುತ್ತ
ನಡುವಿನತ್ತ  ನನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತ
ಮರೆತೆವು  ಹೋಗುವುದೆತ್ತ
ಜೋರಾಯ್ತು ಮಳೆಯ ಕೊರೆತ

ಮಳೆಯಲಿ ನಾವು ತೋಯುತ್ತ
ಮರೆತೆವು  ಈ ಜಗತ್ತ
ಆಯಿತು ಜೋರು ಪ್ರವಾಹ
ಇಲ್ಲವಾಯ್ತು  ನೀರಿನ ದಾಹ

ಏನಾದ್ರೂ ಸುನಾಮಿ ಬಂತಾ
ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರಿತಾ
ಎನ್ನುತಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಅಮ್ಮನ  ಕೂಗು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿತ್ತು
ಅಮ್ಮನ    ಕೈಲಿ   ಖಾಲಿ  ಬಕೆಟ್ ಇತ್ತು

ದೇಹ ಮಣ್ಣಿಗಾದರೆ - ಜೀವ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ

ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆ

ಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತದ     ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆ   ಕೆಂಪು
ಮಳೆ   ಚುಂಬಿಸಿದ  ಒಣಮಣ್ಣ   ಕಂಪು
ತಂಗಾಳಿಯ ಹಿತವಾದ   ತಂಪು
ಶಶಿಯ ಆಗಮನದ ಹೊಳಪು

ಇಳೆಗೆ   ಜಿನುಗೋ  ಮಂಜಿನ   ಹನಿ
ರೊಮಾಂಚಕ   ಸಮಯವಿದೆನ್ನಿ
ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳಿಗಿದು   ತುಂಬಾನೇ   ಇಷ್ಟ
ನಮ್ಮಂತವರಿಗೆ   ಚಡ್ಡಿ   ಒಣಗೋದು  ಕಷ್ಟ
